Pearland ISD introduced two new faces to the board of trustees and welcomed a familiar face.

The board at its May 17 regular meeting officially canvassed the May 7 election results, swearing in Amanda Kuhn, Nanette Weimer and Lance Botkin to serve on the board of trustees.

Kuhn, the new Position 5 holder, is replacing Board Secretary Rebecca Decker. Weimer, the new Position 7 occupant, is replacing Board Vice President Jeffrey Barry. Neither Barry or Decker ran for re-election. Kuhn and Weimer join trustees Crystal Carbone and Toni Carter as women on the board.

Botkin, the only incumbent to run for re-election in the spring election, holds the seat for Position 6. He has been on the board since first being elected in 2013.

In addition, the board unanimously voted in favor of a motion keeping Sean Murphy as board president and named Carbone the new board vice president. Lastly, Botkin was named the new board secretary.
