Pearland, Friendswood and Alvin ISDs are requesting that parents report international travel or vacations to the district.

On March 14, Friendswood released an statement saying that while they had requested parents share travel plans before spring break, they are now looking for more accurate information on the travel of Friendswood students through an in-depth form for parents to fill out on the district website.

On March 5, the CDC issued a level 3 Travel Health notice. The notice identified four countries: China, Iran, South Korea and Italy, that should be avoided when traveling. Pearland and Alvin issued a press release advising students and staff to avoid travel to those countries and requesting that parents report international travel that involved those countries.

Both PISD and AISD are still encouraging the parents of students who have traveled to or through any of the countries identified in the health notice to inform the district, allowing the district to accurately plan for possible coronavirus cases among the student body.
