The Pearland ISD robotics team Pearadox qualified for the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology World Championship after winning the quarterfinals and semifinals at the 2018 Colorado Regional in Denver in March.

The team competed with 52 other teams to earn the coveted spot.

"Going to Denver was an incredible experience to compete alongside some of the best teams in the world," Dawson High School senior Abbey Moore said. "I loved the energy and excitement of cheering on Pearadox in the finals."

They will be competing against 400 other teams at the FIRST World Championship, April 18-21 at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Pearadox is also competing this weekend at San Jacinto College Central campus.

This is the team's third time going to the world championship.
