Brazoria County reported 126 COVID-19 cases Aug. 14, going into the weekend. The county reported fewer new, confirmed cases Aug. 15-16 than it did Aug. 10-14.
The county reported 85 cases Aug. 15 and 62 cases Aug. 16. The county reported 42 recoveries Aug. 14 and 83 recoveries Aug. 15—nearly as many recoveries as new cases Aug. 15.
Alvin reported more cases than any other city in the county Aug. 14. Pearland has reported more cases in the county than any other city overall and reported more new confirmed cases than any other city Aug. 15 and 16.
While most of the cases in the county are in the 20-29 age bracket, the 40-49 age bracket reported more new cases than any other age bracket Aug. 14 and the 30-39 age bracket reported more new cases than any other age bracket Aug. 15-16.
