Alvin ISD is inviting community members to provide input on the district’s superintendent search process at an in-person meeting March 5, according to a Feb. 24 news release from the district.

Superintendent Carol Nelson announced her plan to retire at the end of the 2025-26 school year, as previously reported by Community Impact.
The district released a public questionnaire Feb. 18 seeking community feedback on AISD, including the district’s strengths and areas where improvement is needed.
Respondents are also asked to identify the experience, qualifications and traits they consider important in the next superintendent.

As part of the search, AISD employed the Texas Association of School Boards Executive Search Services to assist with the search for a new superintendent, as previously reported by Community Impact.

The community feedback meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. March 5 at Liberty Alumni Hall in the Heritage Complex, located at 10855 Iowa Colony Blvd., Iowa Colony.
