Learn who filed for Pearland, Alvin ISD May elections

Pearland ISD and Alvin ISD will hold a general election May 2, with several board of trustees positions on the ballot.

The last day to register to vote is April 2. Early voting will be from April 20-28, according to the Texas secretary of state’s website.

Pearland ISD

Both incumbents have filed for a place on the May ballot. An asterisk indicates incumbent. Candidates are not placed in ballot order.

Position 1:

• Toni Carter*
• Rich Bradley
• Chris Counts

Position 2:

• Kristofer Schoeffler*
• Azania Salazar

Both positions will serve a three-year term.

Alvin ISD

Incumbent Gabriel Garza, who serves Position 7, has filed for the May election. Incumbent Earl Humbird, who serves Position 6 and has served on the board for over 20 years, did not file for reelection.

Position 6:

• Faynetta “Fay” Burrle
• Fernando Hinojosa

Position 7:

• Gabriel “Gabe” Garza*
• Courtney Morris
• T’Liza Monique Kiel

Both positions will serve a three-year term.
