Opened in June of last year, The Perfect Gift Box has struggled with sales.

The store offers a variety of gifts for all occasions, including wine glasses, cards, shoes, necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry.

To attract customers, the shop ran 20 percent off deals and gave out gift cards, but its location hurt its visibility.

"Now that we are getting the word out that we are actually here, we will do a lot better," said Kem Labeque, owner. "When people come to the outlet mall, they don't really know this strip that we are in, just the mall."
