A Nepali and Soul Food fusion cuisine restaurant, called Nepali Soul, is now open at The Food Zone-Grand Texas, the owner confirmed June 5.
The restaurant will be a blend of the owner’s Nepali heritage and his wife’s southern heritage, according to the business’s website. The menu will include:
- Chicken, veggie, lamb and fish masalas, which are stir-fried with spices
- Oxtail over fries
- Shrimp Pakora Bites—spiced fried shrimp and onion
- Mango Lassi—a yogurt-based blended drink
- Gulab Jamun—fried milk dough served with rose syrup
Nepali Soul also offers Halal certified food and vegetarian and vegan options, according to the owner.
The Food Zone-Grand Texas is home to a variety of restaurants that operate out of repurpose shipping containers.
