Harris County Precinct 4 is studying a project to realign and upgrade Hamblen Road from Loop 494 at Sorters McClellan Road to Laurel Springs Lane through the future Edgewater Park as a four-lane concrete paved section. As proposed, the project would also include a bridge crossing over the Union Pacific rail line, improved drainage accommodations, and traffic signal installation or modification as warranted as well as sidewalks. According to Victoria Bryant, assistant director for Harris County Precinct 4’s Infrastructure Division, a construction timeline will be determined upon completion of project development.
