Family Promise of Lake Houston officials are hosting a March 22 celebratory event to honor the nonprofit’s 15-year anniversary.

The event will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. March 22 at Chachi’s Next Door, 2845 W. Town Center Circle, Kingwood.

Based in Humble, Family Promise of Lake Houston serves low-income families that become homeless due to an unfortunate circumstance, such as fire, flood, the death of a spouse, loss of a job, an eviction or a foreclosure of a home. The nonprofit provides daily support and education programs that lead each family to permanent self-sufficiency with the help of more than 2,800 volunteers.
