Wholesome Pies, a pizza eatery, and Wholesome Kitchen & Bar, a locally sourced kitchen, closed Nov. 23 at 250 Assay St., Houston, in the Generation Park development. Located in Redemption Square, the two restaurants opened in summer 2019 and were the brainchild of Houston restaurateur Michael Collins.
The closures came following McCord Development's early November launch of Gastropub Productions, the developer's new restaurant and hospitality group. A representative for McCord Development said the company acquired the restaurants and plans to launch new concepts in the spaces soon under Gastropub Productions.
“We are happy to have had Wholesome Restaurant Group be a part of our inaugural Redemption Square restaurant concepts," McCord Development said in a statement. "The Wholesome restaurants will be transitioning to new concepts under management and operations from McCord’s restaurant and hospitality group, GP Productions." www.generationpark/retail/redemption-square
