The 77345 ZIP code, which is where the testing site is located, has 15 confirmed cases—10 active cases, four recovered and one death—according to Harris County Public Health data. Total case numbers have increased by two cases since May 26.
The 77339 ZIP code in the western part of Kingwood has 88 confirmed cases—56 active, 26 recovered and six deaths—according to Montgomery County and Harris County Public Health data. The active case count in the ZIP code declined from 62 cases May 26 to 56 on June 8. Six additional people have recovered and two more people have died from the coronavirus in the ZIP code.
Prior to this testing site's week of operation, the agencies co-hosted another drive-thru testing site May 26-27 in Kingwood. Another drive-thru site hosted by Harris County Public Health was supposed to open June 8 at Turner Stadium in Humble, but officials announced June 7 that the event was canceled.
