Several new additions have either recently opened or are coming soon to the Lake Houston area. Check out five of the most recent updates. This list is not comprehensive.

Raul Marquez Boxing Studio

Raul Marquez Boxing Studio is led by Raul Marquez, a former International Boxing Federation world champion, a 1992 Olympic boxer, and a trainer and mentor to professional fighters. Per information on the studio's Facebook page, Marquez follows a "boxing fundamentals first, fitness second" gym philosophy.

The studio offers classes for adults and kids of all experience levels, as well as open gym hours during non-class times, per the website.

Gomez Western Wear

Gomez Western Wear offers western apparel such as exotic boots, belts, hats and clothing for men, women and children, according to the company's website. As previously reported by Community Impact, Gomez Western Wear moved from its previous location—20020 Hwy. 59, Humble—earlier this year.

Coming soon

La Lihn

La Lihn is a faith-based boutique offering women's and men's clothing and accessories, according to owner Caridad Mae-Lihn.

“We’re especially passionate about offering size-inclusive women’s styles and creating a welcoming place for the Atascocita community to shop and connect,” Mae-Lihn said.

Score Entertainment

According to its website, Score Entertainment will offer a variety of activities, including:

• Laser tag

• Go-karts

• Bowling

• Ax throwing

• Trampoline park

• Mini golf

• Arcade games

• Golf, pickleball and racing simulators

• Virtual reality experiences

In addition to activities, the venue will feature a restaurant offering cuisine from Rudy’s Barbecue as well as two full-service bars.

The venue will be located in the space that previously housed Sears at Deerbrook Mall.

Slick City Action Park

Slick City Action Park is a family entertainment center offering indoor slides and air courts, according to the company's website.

The roughly 40,000-square-foot park will feature 13 large-scale slides up to 20 feet tall, according to a Sept. 15 news release. The park will also feature three dedicated air courts for sports, dodgeball and soccer, along with a trapeze, a soft play area, a net course and a pyramid attraction.
