Dec. 21-31: Visit Dasher's Lightshow

Get into the holiday spirit by visiting Dasher’s Lightshow, which is setting up in Humble this winter. Attendees can drive through a roughly 1-mile lighted tunnel or opt for the park and watch, which features an inflatable obstacle course, a maze, photo opportunities, food and drinks. 5:30-10:30 p.m. (daily). $9.95 (per person for Dasher’s Winterland Park & Watch), $29.95 (per vehicle for Dasher’s Drive Thru). Dec. 22: Go bird watching

Led by longtime birder Paul Gregg, this bird survey is suited for birders of all levels and follows a 1.7-mile loop along Cypress Creek. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes and bring binoculars, a bird identification guide, water and insect repellent. The event is geared for participants age 12 and older; children younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult. 8-10 a.m. Free. Dec. 22: Wear ugly sweaters

DECA Beer Co. will host a Christmas party, during which the Homebrewed Brass Ensemble will perform holiday tunes on the patio. Attendees are encouraged to wear ugly sweaters or festive holiday attire and take advantage of the brewery’s 360-degree camera. 6-9 p.m. Free. Dec. 22-30: Get crafty

Krafty Shack will host holiday craft camps geared for children age 5 and older to keep children entertained throughout the winter break. Dec. 22-25: Go ice skating

A Holiday to Remember returns to Valley Ranch Town Center this winter, hosted by the East Montgomery County Improvement District. Festivities will include a market with local vendors, an ice skating rink, ice slides, train rides, a classic car show and a visit from Santa Claus. 1-8 p.m. (Dec. 22-23), 11 a.m.-4 p.m. (Dec. 24), 4-8 p.m. (Dec. 25). $15 (general admission), $5 (children under 42” tall). Dec. 23: Watch holiday classics

Bring the kids to Back Pew Brewing for a screening of “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” and other classic holiday films as part of the brewery’s Holiday Movie Night series.
