Ask the editor: What happened to the other guy?

Avid readers of this edition of Community Impact Newspaper may notice a change on this page. I’m the new editor of the Lake Houston-Humble-Kingwood edition, and this issue marks my first full edition overseeing the content. Former Editor Zac Ezzone is happily pursuing a job opportunity on the West Coast, and the team wishes him all the best.

I was hired as the reporter for the Conroe-Montgomery edition in June 2017. After serving almost two years in that role, I accepted the position of editor of the Lake Houston-Humble-Kingwood edition in mid-March.

As editor of this paper, I aim to report on hyperlocal news that residents and business owners in the community care about, such as flood mitigation projects, transportation, education, government, local events and development.

Please feel free to reach out to me anytime at kschafler@communityimpact.com with questions, concerns or suggestions on how our team can continue to improve and make this edition truly a paper for the local community.
