Originally expected to open in July, Chuy's is now scheduled to open in Valley Ranch Town Center in September, General Manager Marcus Jackson confirmed in late July.

The New Caney location was first announced in June 2023 and construction began in December. The Austin-based Tex-Mex restaurant serves "Big As Yo' Face Burritos," tacos, enchiladas and fajitas as well as a variety of flavored margaritas and cocktails.

Most recently, Chuy's officials announced the company would be acquired by Darden Restaurants for approximately $605 million via a July 17 news release. The Darden brand owns over 1,900 restaurants worldwide, including Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Yard House and Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, among others.
