Katy ISD's Community Education programs have begun offering spring enrollment for classes aimed at building expertise, teaching different skills or providing participants with new experiences. From guitar lessons to computer classes to salsa dancing, there are a variety of programs available
The Community Education courses provided by KISD to the general public include self-improvement, enrichment, recreation and professional development courses, as well as an opportunity to meet new people. Spring semester classes take place at various KISD high schools during evening hours, and interested individuals can view course availability through the KISD Community Education Spring 2022 Online Course Catalog.
“For over 30 years, the Katy ISD Community Education Program has grown to include almost 2,000 participants per semester,” said Karen Lewis, director of internal and community relations. “We have found that many participants who take a course return in following semesters to take more classes.”
The registration process can be completed online. It is not necessary to live in KISD to register for classes. Most classes result in certificates of completion. For questions, call the Community Education Department at 281-396-6365.
