The gist
The bonds, which were approved at the Nov. 13 City Council meeting, will go toward seven projects, according to city documents. Those projects are:
- Katy Court off-site water line and force main
- Northeast detention pond
- Southeast detention pond
- Katy Court detention
- Water and wastewater capital recovery fees
- Joint drainage channel payment to Harris County
- Water, wastewater and drainage facilities
How we got here
The bonds are the fifth installment of a $40.575 million bond package that was approved by voters in 2009, according to city documents.
After the latest approval Nov. 13, there is $13.545 million left in bonds, which the Katy West Municipal Utility District has the right to use at a later date, documents show.
