Katy residents can cool down this summer with freshly made ice cream from Bruster’s Real Ice Cream.

In a nutshell

Opened in April, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream of Katy brings at least 24 freshly made ice cream flavors to its store daily, according to the company’s website.

The Pennsylvania-based chain was started in 1989 by Bruce Reed, who was looking to provide fresh homemade ice cream to his community. Today, there are nearly 200 locations in the U.S. and Guyana, according to its website.
