The overview
The 1,150-acre Grange community will be located at Morton Road and FM 2855 in Katy, with the initial phase bringing 301 homes, lakes, green spaces and an amenity center, according to a May 10 news release.
Johnson Development previously broke ground March 22 on the Grange community, named after the area’s history of rice farming, Community Impact reported.
The details
Homebuilders within the community will offer various homesites ranging 45-60 feet wide and priced from the low $400,000s to upper $600,000s, according the release.
Floor plans will vary from 1,700-4,000 square feet, depending on the builders, which include:
- David Weekley Homes
- Newmark Homes
- Chesmar Homes
- Perry Homes
- Drees Custom Homes
- Westin Homes
- Highland Homes
With the selection of the seven builders for the first phase, Jacob W. Rice, Grange’s vice president and general manager, said Johnson Development officials can attest to all the builder’s quality and attention to detail from previous projects.
“We are excited about the variety our builders are offering, giving buyers ample selection so they can find exactly what they are looking for,” Rice said in the release.
Looking forward
Builders are anticipated to start home sales and construction in early 2025, according to the release.
