K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotels will establish its second Greater Houston location in Katy. Officials estimate the new location will accommodate more than 80 pups for overnight boarding and over 100 for its day care services.

According to a Sept. 6 news release, K9 Resorts boasts amenities such as the same antimicrobial flooring and air filtration systems as hospitals, as well as germ-resistant bedding and soundproofing materials to minimize stress on pets.

The business has an open play concept where pups can roam outdoor play yards and romp in grassy, indoor playrooms.

To celebrate the grand opening this September, the first 50 pet owners to create an account will be entered to win a $500 credit toward services. Other features of the event include a food truck, photo ops and a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility.
