Piqueo Latin Cuisine reopened Feb. 29 as 429 American Grille. The same owners who ran Piqueo are running the new concept as well.[/caption] Piqueo Latin Cuisine has officially changed its name to 429 American Grill as of Feb. 29 to better suit the restaurant’s new American concept. Formerly a Latin American/Peruvian concept, 429 American Grill now serves food items off an extensive American menu. Owner Gerry Sarimento said he hopes the concept change will have more appeal to the neighborhood. “We redesigned the interior, changed the color scheme, added TVs to the bar area and created a new outdoor patio area,” he said. “We did some really nice touchups and it has a completely different feeling than it had before.” The restaurant, located at 13215 Grant Rd., Cypress, serves new menu items such as bourbon-glazed porkchops, steaks with house-made sauce, soup, salads, chicken sandwiches, burgers and pork-belly sliders. New craft beer and wine options were also added to the drink selection, and cocktails will remain the same. The jambalaya will remain on the menu as well owners said. 281-404-4190. www.facebook.com/429americangrille Other Impacts in the Cy-Fair area: COMING SOON—A new Fitness Connection will open this summer at 10920 FM 1960, Houston.
