Looking for things to do around the Houston Heights, River Oaks and Montrose areas? From soccer clinics to art exhibits, here are seven events to attend in these neighborhoods in May and June. This list is not comprehensive.

Futbolito in the City

Dynamo & Dash Charities will offer free, 90-minute soccer coaching sessions for Houston-area youth between ages 6-14 years old. The clinics occurs every Thursday throughout May at the Memorial Park Picnic Loop, and will also feature prizes and meet-and-greets with Dynamo FC and Dash players.Visual Symphony: The Salon Revisited

Silver Street Studios, an arts and events complex with 68 stations, will showcase contemporary art in an exhibition inspired by the grand salon traditions of 17th and 18th century France. This public reception will allow attendees to meet the creators behind the work and gain insight into their creative processes.

Dream Con

RDCWorld, a Texas-based collective of online video creators, will bring back this entertainment convention this year at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The three-day event celebrates gaming, anime, sports, film, music and pop culture while fostering inclusivity and a sense of belonging.

The River Oaks District Equinox fitness club will host a complimentary Vinyasa Yoga class in the park next to Bari Ristorante.Tejas Beer 5K

Tejas Brewery will host its first-ever fun run, where participants over 21 years old will receive a t- shirt, finisher glass and two pints of craft beer after they cross the finish line.Texas Monthly Taco Fest

This first annual food festival will take place at Discovery Green Park and feature live entertainment and bites from Texas Monthly’s 50 best taco joints in the region.Craft Brew Stroll on 19th Street

Attendees to this beer crawl will receive a signature 19th Street pint glass to sample multiple breweries up and down the historical Houston Heights street.
