In November, construction is scheduled to kick off on the first phase of the East Montgomery County Improvement District’s multi-phase park project, which will be built on a 200-acre plot of land in New Caney, according to a Sept. 14 news release from the district.
What’s happening?
Phase 1 of EMCID's project will include the completion of a delayed dog park as well as other amenities, according to the release. EMCID leaders have selected amenity builder HD Outdoor Construction for Phase 1 of the project.
According to the release, Phase 1 will include facilities such as:
32,856 square feet devoted to the dog park
33 parking spaces
Restrooms
A future children’s playground
“Creating quality outdoor spaces is an investment in our community,” said Frank McCrady, EMCID’s president and CEO, via the release. “This park is designed to provide a place where families, including their four-legged family members, can gather and enjoy the outdoors.”
