With Tropical Storm Beta come and gone, Houston ISD will resume normal operations Sept. 24, according to a news release.

All HISD facilities and offices were closed Sept. 22-23 because of heavy rains throughout the Houston area.

While virtual instruction took place during the closure, Digital Learning Centers will now reopen, the district said.

Food deliveries and curbside pickup will also resume as scheduled, the district said.

HISD expects to resume in-person classroom instruction for families that opted in on Oct. 19.
