A new H-E-B is planned for the corner of Grant and Spring Cypress roads with a tentative opening date of late fall 2014.

"We're always looking for new locations in areas to provide customers with a convenient option to shop at H-E-B," said Cyndy Garza Roberts, director of public affairs for H-E-B in Houston. "As that area of town continues to grow, we felt it was a good area for a new store. We're very anxious and eager to provide a great shopping experience for residents in the Cypress area."

The future store is tentatively set to open by late fall 2014, but that is subject to change based on issues such as construction and weather conditions.

The square footage, various features and type of store are still being finalized, Garza Roberts said.

The new store will be the fifth H-E-B in the Cy-Fair area, with other locations open at Barker Cypress and Hwy. 290, Vintage Park, Jones and West roads and Fairfield.

The latter two stores both opened in the Cy-Fair area in the past year and a half, and they have garnered positive reactions from local community members, Garza Roberts said.

"The feedback and reaction we've been getting from customers in the area has been extremely positive for all of those stores," Garza Roberts said. "As that segment of the Greater Houston area continues to grow—and as the population in the Cypress area continues to grow—that will be an excellent opportunity for H-E-B to provide convenient options to shop for those residents."
