The Cypress Creek Drainage Improvement District is seeking input from residents, business owners and other stakeholders in the Cypress Creek watershed via an online survey launched in April.

Offering input

The online survey is designed to gain input from the community on flood mitigation strategies, flood concerns, top priority projects, the importance of recreational facilities and other flooding-related topics. CCDID President Calvin Cobb said the board will continue to collect survey data through July.

In case you missed it

The CCDID is also hosting a series of town hall meetings throughout the second quarter of 2024, during which attendees can learn more about CCDID and receive updates on Harris County Flood Control District projects in the Cypress Creek watershed. Town hall attendees can also participate in a Q&A portion with CCDID board members and fill out a paper version of the online survey.

The first town hall meeting was held April 16, and remaining town hall meetings are scheduled as follows:
  • May 21: George H.W. Bush Community Center, 6827 Cypresswood Drive, Spring
  • June 18: Coles Crossing Community Center, 13050 Barker Cypress Road, Cypress
Each workshop will begin at 6 p.m. and will be preceded by the CCDID's monthly board meeting at 4 p.m.
