  1. The city of Conroe will begin design engineering in January for the Old Conroe Road extension project. The roughly $100 million project will extend the four-lane thoroughfare to Sgt. Ed Holcomb Boulevard South.
    Estimated timeline: 2021-TBD
  2. The Texas Department of Transportation broke ground in October on a $14.9 million project to widen FM 1097 between I-45 and Anderson Road in Willis from two lanes to four lanes and add a continuous left-turn lane.
    Estimated timeline: Oct. 15, 2018-third quarter 2020
  3. Montgomery County broke ground in November on a $5.5 million project to expand Lake Creek bridge, located along Fish Creek Thoroughfare in Montgomery, by creating a two-lane bridge parallel to it.
    Estimated timeline: Nov. 15, 2018-November 2019
