Montgomery County Commissioners will discuss a new road bond initiative for a number of unspecified projects during the April 9 meeting, according to the meeting agenda.

According to the agenda for the meeting, commissioners will discuss putting forth a bond issue for the November ballot targeted toward large county road projects.

The documents outline a $50 million cap for the road bond. However, an official list of projects has not been disclosed, and the amount can change based on the request of commissioners. Montgomery County has not had a bond election since 2015.

Commissioners will also discuss the approval of the contract with the Ladies Professional Golf Association for the 2024 Chevron Championship in The Woodlands. This will be followed with the potential approval of six new officers from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for The Woodlands Township.
