Former Montgomery ISD Superintendent Heath Morrison will begin his new role as CEO of Teachers of Tomorrow, the nation’s largest alternative certification program for teachers, organization officials announced in a July 26 news release.

Morrison announced his resignation from MISD on July 12, and the MISD board of trustees named Amy Busby, assistant superintendent of student services and innovation, to serve as interim superintendent following Morrison's departure.

Morrison begins his new role with Teachers of Tomorrow on Aug. 1, according to the release. He previously served as MISD superintendent since July 2020.

Teachers of Tomorrow was established in 2005 to provide teacher services, including accredited precertification training, research-based test preparation and ongoing professional development, according to the release.
