Buttermilk Cafe is set to open in Willis, Director of Development Lauren Swonke confirmed via email.

“We want to be an exciting place for people to gather and connect with family and friends,” Swonke said.

Swonke said the restaurant will be a full-service cafe open for breakfast and lunch, with an espresso bar and bakery. Buttermilk Cafe will also be open for special events such as live music, open mic nights and classes.

Swonke also said the cafe will partner with nonprofit organizations.

“Buttermilk Cafe is the creative work of Buttermilk Gives Foundation,” Swonke said. “Each month, we'll partner with a different nonprofit organization that is caring for the most vulnerable in our society. Those organizations will receive our profits to further the great work they're doing.”
