The Arbor, a $10 million amenity village, is being constructed by Shea Homes in the 740-acre community Evergreen, located at the northwest corner of FM 1314 and Hwy. 242 in Conroe, according to a Dec. 20 news release from the development company.

The details

Spanning 8.7 acres, The Arbor will include:
  • A resort-style pool
  • Poolside shade structures
  • A recreation center with indoor and outdoor lounge areas
  • An event lawn
  • A splash pad
  • A playground
  • An extension to Curiosity Park, which is a park and green space
According to the release, future plans include pickleball courts.

Quote of note

“The Arbor has been designed to fit its unique site layout around the curve of Evergreen Creek,” said Keith Luechtefeld, Houston division president for Shea Homes, in the release. “Because of this, it will easily appear to be an extension of Curiosity Trail that runs alongside Evergreen Creek through the community.”

Going forward

The grand opening of Evergreen took place in April, marking the completion of its first phase, as previously reported by Community Impact. Since then, residents have begun moving in, according to Evergreen officials.

The community aims to construct around 2,000 homes, priced between $300,000 and $800,000, according to the release.

The Arbor is set to open fully by fall 2024, according to the release.

Curiosity Park is one of the 100 acres of parks and open spaces in Evergreen, and is set to open on a further date, according to the release.
