Entergy is planning a power outage in the area of April Sound and Cape Conroe on Hwy. 105 on Aug. 26, according to Entergy Texas. The outage will start at 5:30 a.m. and last until noon.

“To keep the power reliably flowing, Entergy Texas regularly works to make reliability upgrades to improve equipment with newer, more modern technology,” the company said in a statement.

Some traffic signals may be affected, including Hwy. 105, Old River Road and Cape Conroe Road, according to a post from the city of Conroe.

Crews will be replacing poles and upgrading and installing equipment along Hwy. 105, the company said. The planned outage is planned to keep workers safe while they complete the work.
