The plans were released at a June 17 ground breaking for a new 12,000-square-foot Kiddie Academy at 14918 Mueschke Road, the first tenant confirmed for the new development. “We really just wanted to do a nice business park here for the community,” KCS Construction president Jason Keeton said. “We’re currently working out the details with some of our other tenants, but we should have more to announce soon.” Kiddie Academy is the first tenant to break ground at the new development. Plans also include a 7-acre boutique and salon park, Keeton said. The Kelsey-Seybold deal is in the works, but Keeton said he hopes to close within the next month and host another ground breaking around Aug. 1. Preliminary plans indicate it will be a 21,700-square-foot building. At approximately 6,300 square feet, the new veterinary clinic is still being planned out as well, Keeton said. Fairfield Animal Hospital has shown interest in the location, he said. Ewing Irrigation could potentially take up a 4.2-acre site with a planned 38,400-square-foot building. The salon park will entail roughly 64,400 square feet of office space across several different buildings, according to the preliminary plans. The new Kiddie Academy location will be co-run by sisters Courtney Adams and Katy Maupin along with their aunt Lisa Hall. The goal for opening is the end of October, Adams said. The educational daycare offers curricula for children from six weeks through 12 years old. Younger children develop communication, cognitive and fine motor skills through sensory-based learning. The curriculum for older children focuses on thematic units such as arts, mathematics, science, physical fitness and character education. “We worked hard for the past couple of years to bring this to formation,” Adams said at the June 17 ground breaking. “With this building we know we can have an impact on the families in our community and the future of every child who enters our doors.”
