Chicago-based ride service Tootl Transport has rolled into Houston, offering rides for seniors, wheelchair users or anyone with mobility or cognitive challenges, according to an Aug. 19 news release.

The family-run, Black-owned business provides specially-equipped vehicles and professionally-trained drivers for the community it serves, per the release.

How it works

The non-emergency medical transportation company serves the Greater Houston area, including the 610 loop, per the release.

Passengers can utilize Tootl Transport of Houston to make it to several destinations, including:

The mobile service is available at any time of the day or night, per the release. Customers can request same-day rides, make advance reservations or arrange for recurring Tootl pick ups.




There is no application process, waiting period or medical authorizations necessary to use this service, per the release.

Co-owner Ken Bardlette—who runs Tootl alongside his wife and son—said in the release the ride service also provides reminder calls and written correspondence to put its passengers and their loved ones at ease.
