There are several events taking place for the 4th of July in the Bay area. Check out a few of them below. This list is not comprehensive.

Fireworks Extravaganza

This event includes a fireworks display, live music, inflatables and food trucks at the Chester L. David Sportsplex. Attendees can bring lawn chairs or blankets. Fireworks will begin at sundown. Additional parking will be available at Hometown Heroes Park, along with a shuttle service.Citizen Appreciation Day

This event at Hometown Heroes Park will feature activities, including a petting zoo, live entertainment, face painting and moonwalks. League City council and parks board members, the mayor and city staff will serve complimentary hot dogs, popcorn and cotton candy. The Hometown Heroes pool will be open.Fourth of July Celebration

The event at Texas Avenue Park will feature live music by the Houston Highlander Pipe Band with food, followed by an evening of fireworks.4th of July Texas BBQ and Family Fun


This event at the South Shore Harbour Country Club entails Texas style barbeque, including smoked brisket, pork ribs, chicken and sausage, and drinks. There will also be entertainment, including a waterslide, games, such as cornhole and face painting. Reservations are required.Fourth of July Parade

The parade will begin at the Miramar Shopping Center and end at Rex L. Meador Park. Additional festivities and entertainment will take place at the park and last until noon, including a bounce house, dunking booth and hayrides.4th of July Celebration

This event at the Kemah Boardwalk entails live music by Lone Star All Star Trio, Uncle Sam Stilt Walker and The Slags, along with fireworks starting at 9:30 p.m. Although the boardwalk and fireworks are free to attend, parking fees apply.
