Any child who is age 18 or under will be able to have free meals over the summer, even if they aren’t a student at Clear Creek ISD, officials said.

What you need to know

The free meal program began at the beginning of June and will continue until Aug. 2, CCISD Communications Coordinator Sydney Hunt said in a June 11 email.

According to district documents, the meals will be provided at the following campuses:
  • Clear Lake High School: Breakfast is served from 6:45-9 a.m.; lunch is served from noon-1 p.m.
    • June 10-27 (Monday through Thursday)
    • June 24-July 3 (Monday through Friday)
    • July 16-Aug. 1 (Tuesday through Thursday)
  • Wedgewood Elementary: Breakfast is served from 8:30-9 a.m.; lunch is served from 11:30 a.m.-noon
    • July 22-Aug. 1 (Monday through Thursday)
  • McWhirter Elementary: Breakfast is served from 7:30-8 a.m.; lunch is served from 10:30-11 a.m.
    • June 4-21 (Monday through Friday)
    • June 24-27 (Monday through Thursday)
    • July 16-Aug. 1 (Tuesday through Thursday)
    • July 29-Aug. 2 (Monday through Friday)
  • Clear Creek Intermediate: Breakfast is served from 9-9:30 a.m.; lunch is served from 12:30-1 p.m.
    • June 3-July 11 (Monday through Thursday)
    • August 1
  • Space Center Intermediate: Breakfast is served from 8:30-9 a.m.; lunch is served from noon-12:30 p.m.
    • July 23-26
  • Greene Elementary: Breakfast is served from 7:45-8:15 a.m.; lunch is served from 11-11:30 a.m.
    • July 22-Aug. 1 (Monday through Thursday)
All meals are served in the campus’ cafeteria and must be consumed on-site, according to the district’s website.

No form of identification is required, according to the district’s website.

The program is federally funded through the Texas Department of Agriculture, Hunt said.
