Preregistration for Clear Creek ISD’s summer school programs opened May 1 and will run through June 6, according to the district’s website.

Here’s what you need to know.

The gist

School ends in Clear Creek ISD on May 31 and shortly after, summer programming for students needing a little more assistance is set to begin.

CCISD’s summer school programming will be broken up by two semesters—one from June 10-20, and the second from June 24-July 3, according to the district’s website.


Programming is available for those in grades sixth, seventh and eighth, as well as high schoolers, according to the district’s website.

For grades sixth-eighth, Summer Semester 1 will offer credit recovery courses for language arts, reading and mathematics, according to the district’s website. Summer Semester 2 will be for science and social studies.

Classes run from 7:45-11 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.-2:45 p.m., according to the districts’ website.

Summer Semester 1 for high school students will be equivalent to courses taught in the fall semester, and Semester 2 for the spring semester, according to the district’s website.

There will be two sessions of classes for high schoolers, according to the district’s website. Session 1 will run from 7:30-10:15 a.m., and session 2 from 10:45 a.m.-2:15 p.m. This is the case for both semesters.

Diving in deeper

Classes for grades sixth-eighth are $200 each, or $100 for a student who qualifies for free or reduced lunch, according to the district’s website. For high school students, courses are $200 per half credit, or $100 for students on free or reduced lunch.

No transportation will be provided, according to the district’s website.

What else?

The district also has a Summer STAAR Academy, which allows students to get help with core subjects or make up credits for the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness, or STAAR, test, according to the district’s website. Those classes will run from June 3-14.

The Clear Access Summer Session is also available for students to take high school courses online for original credit, according to the district’s website. Those sessions run from June 10-July 12.
