Galveston Bay Foundation breaks ground on new location

Nonprofit environmental group Galveston Bay Foundation on Oct. 29 broke ground on a new 30-acre site at 1725 S. Hwy. 146, Kemah. The building will be completed in phases, and it ultimately will include a living shoreline that will provide habitat for fish and birds and an environmental education center. 281-332-3381. www.galvbay.org
