Frisco ISD residents now have access to free preparatory classes for the General Education Development, or GED, test, according to a district news release.
The district has partnered with Collin County Adult Education and Literacy, which is coordinated through Grayson College, to offer the classes, which began in September.
Virtual classes are offered Monday through Thursday from 6-8:30 p.m. The classes are expected to eventually transition to an in-person format.
“We are excited to bring this offering to Frisco ISD residents at no cost to the District,” Director of Alternative Education Kecia Theodore said in the release. “We know that education, and especially the completion of a high school diploma or its equivalent, is life changing for individuals because it opens doors and creates new opportunities for success.”
