Work is continuing on a $2 million project to add lanes along Campbell Road and at the intersection with US 75.
In the coming weeks, the contractor is scheduled to complete the right-turn lane and commercial driveways on the southbound US 75 frontage road. Crews are also making progress on constructing the new inside left-turn lane. While work is ongoing, the U-turn under US 75 will be closed.
The contractor is also preparing to install new storm sewer inlets along Campbell, according to the city.
The project also includes a new westbound auxiliary lane on Campbell from Alamo Road to Collins Boulevard and an extended left-turn lane to allow westbound traffic to access Alamo from Campbell.
Construction is slated to wrap up in December, city officials said.
