1. Electrical distributor Summit Electric Supply opened a new service center Nov. 1 at 1002 N. Central Expressway, Ste. 511, Richardson. The 6,500-square-foot service center offers a full customer service counter for electrical professionals, a refreshment area, and a will call desk for phone and online orders. 4. Clothing store R.A.I. Raynitra Anderson Inc. opened Dec. 18 at 670 N. Coit Road, Richardson. Raynitra Anderson began the business as an online store in early 2020 as a way to offer customers “affordable luxury” items, she said. In addition to clothing for women and men, the store carries handbags, shoes, swimwear, vintage items and more. R.A.I. 5. The hotel Element by Westin opened Oct. 4 at 2205 N. Glenville Drive, Richardson. The $22 million hotel features 123 suites over four stories. Each suite offers a fully equipped kitchen and spa-inspired bathrooms, according to a news release. The hotel also offers a fitness center, a saline pool and a Bikes to Borrow program for its guests.
