5. The hotel Element by Westin opened Oct. 4 at 2205 N. Glenville Drive, Richardson. The $22 million hotel features 123 suites over four stories. Each suite offers a fully equipped kitchen and spa-inspired bathrooms, according to a news release. The hotel also offers a fitness center, a saline pool and a Bikes to Borrow program for its guests.
