Here are five businesses that recently opened in Richardson.

1. Electrical distributor Summit Electric Supply opened a new service center Nov. 1 at 1002 N. Central Expressway, Ste. 511, Richardson. The 6,500-square-foot service center offers a full customer service counter for electrical professionals, a refreshment area, and a will call desk for phone and online orders. Founded in 1977, Summit Electric Supply operates service centers in 24 U.S. markets and has been in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for more than 35 years, according to a news release. 469-775-8000.

2. Image Studios Salon Suites opened Nov. 15 at 1415 State St., Ste. 900, Richardson, in the CityLine development. The salon features 30 suites available to be rented out by hair and beauty professionals. 469-219-7911.

3. Royalty Barbershop opened in September at 525 W. Arapaho Road, Ste. 23, Richardson. The business offers a full range of upscale hair treatments for men, including straight-razor shaves, hairstyling and beard trimming as well as haircuts, fades, designs and more. The shop is in the former location of Barber and Co. in the North Rich Plaza development. 469-399-0990.

4. Clothing store R.A.I. Raynitra Anderson Inc. opened Dec. 18 at 670 N. Coit Road, Richardson. Raynitra Anderson began the business as an online store in early 2020 as a way to offer customers “affordable luxury” items, she said. In addition to clothing for women and men, the store carries handbags, shoes, swimwear, vintage items and more. R.A.I. 5. The hotel Element by Westin opened Oct. 4 at 2205 N. Glenville Drive, Richardson. The $22 million hotel features 123 suites over four stories. Each suite offers a fully equipped kitchen and spa-inspired bathrooms, according to a news release. The hotel also offers a fitness center, a saline pool and a Bikes to Borrow program for its guests. The Element is part of a 5.2-acre mixed-use development from hotel management and investment firm Midas and real estate development company 3D Development. 972-833-4974.
