Electrical distributor Summit Electric Supply opened a new service center Nov. 1 at 1002 N. Central Expressway, Ste. 511, Richardson.

The 6,500-square-foot service center offers a full customer service counter for electrical professionals, a refreshment area, and a will-call desk for phone and online orders.

“We’re happy to provide electrical supplies and unique solutions to the growing Richardson community,” Service Center Manager Clay Choate said in a statement. “Having another location near our North Texas Distribution Center allows us to keep a wide selection of products in stock and strengthen our market presence.”

Founded in 1977, Summit Electric Supply operates service centers in 24 U.S. markets and has been in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for more than 35 years, according to a news release. For each of the first 10 weeks of its operation, the Richardson service center will have drawings, giveaways and special offers for customers.

“We’re excited to bring the Summit Way Customer Experience to more electrical professionals throughout the metroplex,” DFW Area Manager Jamey Lamm said in a statement. 469-775-8000. www.summit.com
