Construction is set to begin in December and January on several road projects after Richardson City Council awarded contracts during the Nov. 4 meeting.

Council awarded a $1.1 million contract to Muniz Construction for the Dalhart and Portsmouth Drive Waterline Replacement Project.

The project will consist of replacing existing waterline and asphalt overlay along Dalhart Drive, east of Cottonwood Park and between Dublin Drive and Dover Drive. Additionally, the project will replace aging waterline equipment on Portsmouth Drive.

Funding is from Water/Sewer Fund and Street Rehab Fund. Construction is expected to start in January 2025, and be completed in June 2025.
