The city of Richardson's public-facing departments are expected to complete the move into the temporary City Hall facility, according to a news release.

The City Hall Annex is expected to open Nov. 6 and will house public-facing departments, replacing the temporary setup that was previously located at the city’s municipal court.

What you need to know

The location of the annex is 2360 Campbell Creek Road, Ste. 550. Last month, the city reopened the library in Suite 500 within the same building.

Four departments are expected to be located in the annex:
  • Building inspection
  • Code enforcement
  • Health
  • Water customer service
With the opening of the annex, the city will once again have its library and many city functions housed within the same space.

Relocating to a temporary facility was necessary for city staff after a fire damaged the old City Hall in August 2022. Completion of the new City Hall building is expected in 2026 with the temporary building hosting city offices and council meetings until then.
