After a more than one-month closure, a physical location for the Richardson Public Library has reopened in the same building as Richardson’s temporary City Hall, which is located at 2360 Campbell Creek Blvd.

The library officially reopened Oct. 23, according to information published by the city, and resumed most normal services, including youth programming, internet access and computer use. Work is still ongoing to set up the business center, the laptop kiosk and 3D-printing equipment.

The context

The temporary library closure began Sept. 9, which allowed staff to move into the temporary facility that will remain active for a few years, according to a city news release. Renovations funded in the 2021 bond are underway at the permanent library at 990 Civic Center Drive.
