Residents will get a chance to hear from candidates running for Richardson City Council at an April 17 forum hosted by the League of Women Voters Richardson.
Unopposed candidates will not participate in the Q&A part of the forum but will be permitted to make a closing statement, according to a league press release. Residents are welcome to submit questions for candidates both during the forum or in advance by sending an email to [email protected].
The forum begin at 7 p.m. in the Grand Hall of the Richardson Civic Center, 411 W. Arapaho Road. A live stream will be available at www.cor.net/city or viewers can tune into a live broadcast via the city's cable TV channels—channel 16 for Time Warner Cable and channel 99 for AT&T U-verse.
Candidates running for mayor and Richardson City Council are:

Place 3: Franklin Byrd, Dan Barrios and Janet DePuy
Place 4: Raymond DeGuzman Sr., Johnny Lanzillo and Kyle Kepner
Place 5: Mauri Long and Ken Hutchenrider
Place 6: Steve Mitchell
Place 7 mayor: Paul Voelker
