The Richardson Chamber of Commerce announced Julie Snyder as the new president and chief executive officer, according to a news release from the chamber.

Snyder is currently the executive of the Kyle chamber and was selected for her background and skills, board chairman Randy Ford said.

The background

Snyder is replacing Kim Quirk, who announced her retirement earlier this year. She is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute of Organization Management Program and serves on several boards, including the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives. She started in Kyle in 2023 and has been involved in creating new events, growing member engagement and increasing revenue, according to the news release.

“It is an extraordinary honor to have been selected as the next president and CEO of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce,” Snyder said in the release. “I look forward to working alongside their board of directors and community leaders to increase business growth and success through excellent programming and resources.”

Snyder will begin with the Richardson chamber Feb. 3, 2025.
