Benders Sports & Spirits plans to open March 19 at 300 N. Coit Road, Ste. 130, Richardson. The sports bar offers affordable food and drinks as well as wall-to-wall TVs for sports spectators. Benders offers happy hour every day from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. A March 17 opening party at the Richardson location at 7 p.m. will include free food.

Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu relocating to Southlake Boulevard

Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a martial arts school in Southlake, will relocate to 2225 W. Southlake Blvd, Stes. 429-435, Southlake. The school is expected to reopen March 20 once renovations are complete. The martial arts school, which has been serving the Southlake community for nine years, offers jiujitsu and self-defense classes for kids, adults and families.

After months of anticipation, Frisco ISD announced the mascot of its upcoming high school on social media at 4 p.m. March 15.

Berlin Cafe rebrands as Dos Amigos in Frisco

After two years of operations, the owners of The Berlin Cafe changed gears in the winter and reopened March 11 as Dos Amigos Cantina at 2552 Stonebrook Parkway, Ste. 300, Frisco. Dos Amigos prepares all dishes and drinks using fresh ingredients. The cantina offers queso, guacamole, quesadillas, fajitas, margaritas and other Tex-Mex delights.

Peak Roofing & Construction will relocate to 6841 Ash St., Frisco, at the end of March, according to the company's marketing spokesperson, Harry Bouton.

Concept Therapy and Wellness opened March 1 at 130 E. Hill St., Keller. The clinic, owned by Dr. Stefanie Long, focuses on women’s health, particularly pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum care, and high-impact activities.

The Franchise Grill rebrands as Plano Sports Tavern

Plano Sports Tavern opened under its new name in February at 3000 Coit Road, Ste. 345, Plano. The restaurant and sports bar was previously known as The Franchise Grill. Plano Sports Tavern offers regular music and entertainment events as well as various menu items, such as wings and barbecue.

Cathedral Italian Bistro coming soon to Plano


Cathedral Italian Bistro is expected to open by summer at 8103 Rasor Blvd., Ste. 110, Plano. The restaurant will serve authentic Italian cuisine with a Texasflair, with menu items ranging from freshmade pizzas and handmade pastas to Wagyu steaks.
