Heavy rainfall sweeping through North Texas has caused the closure of nearly two dozen county roads in Collin County as of Wednesday afternoon.
The National Weather Service has issue a flood warning to counties throughout the area, including Collin and Denton counties.
Reports from the Collin County Public Works department show 23 country roads have been closed due to flooding and heavy rainfall. They are as follows:

- CR 579
- CR 580
- CR 664

- Woodlawn Road
- CR 668
- CR 618
- CR 6
- CR 53
The National Weather Service’s advisory is expected to remain in effect through Wednesday evening.
A winter weather advisory is also in effect for portions of Denton County, though Frisco and Plano were not named in the advisory.
The rainfall has also cause
road closures in McKinney, as well as
sanitary sewage overflow in Frisco.
